CompAero and TurbAero Software Support and Update Log

For the convenience of licensed users, a dated log of software upgrades to the CompAero and TurbAero software systems can be viewed here (requires Adobe Reader 6.0 or later).  Files with significant upgrades are supplied to licensed users as e-mail attachments at no charge.  Licensed users can also purchase an updated software installation CD at any time for a nominal fee to offset preparation and shipping expenses.  [view update log]

E-mail Ron Aungier [email] to request updated files as e-mail attachments or to order an updated software installation CD (no purchase order required).

Recent News

Welcome to the students & faculty of Lund University (Sweden), Fachhochschule Bochum (Germany) and Kansas State University, recent recipients of academic software licenses.  License fees are waived for academic (non-commercial) licenses to support the preparation of our future turbomachinery engineers.

Single-CPU licenses are now available as an alternative to the Single-User license.  Ron Aungier supports conversions to this license at no charge [details].

AXTURB, RIFT, CENCOM and AXCOM can now export performance maps to Sinda/Fluint, a fluid and thermal system analysis  by C&R Technologies [details].

CENCOM was updated on 10/19/07 to allow specifying different speeds for the various stages in a multistage run.  This simplifies its use on multistage integral-geared compressors.

Special Information For Users

An error was found in program GASPATH on 2/2/08 related to exporting 2-D blade geometry to CENCOM, RIFT, FLOW3D, etc.  See update log for details and a simple "work-around."

Windows XP users should note an issue with printed output has been encountered by some users.  See the current User's Guides for a simple "fix" or  view it here with Adobe Reader [view issue].

When using the user-supplied pseudo-perfect gas model, note that programs dated prior to 5/15/08 display the data incorrectly except for English units.  Correct values can be viewed using the "edit existing data" option.
