These three axial-flow compressors were designed and tested by the NACA.  The NACA 10 stage compressor is a moderate Mach number design using  NACA 65-series blading throughout.  The NACA 5 stage compressor is a  transonic design using high Mach number double-circular-arc blading for all rotor rows and for the first 2 stator rows and NACA 65-series blading for the other stator rows.

 

 

The NACA 8 Stage compressor is also a transonic design with transonic double-circular-arc rotor blades in the first two stages and NACA 65-series blades for all other blade rows
